Have you ever been stuck?  Trapped with emotions and sensations you aren’t familiar with, aren’t quite sure what to do with or how to manage them?   Have you ever wondered what mindfulness practice is?  Creative visualization?  Or what it would feel like to tap into your own deep knowing, transforming thoughts, feelings and sensations into a healthier way of being?  Has being stuck in thoughts, decisions or beliefs about yourself created enormous suffering for you?

If you have answered yes to any of these questions, our “Movement meets Transformative Mindfulness” event is for you.
In this 2 hour workshop, we will delve into mindfulness based practice which has been proven to reduce stress, assist with pain management, improve focus and concentration, and increase emotional tolerance.  Using transformative mindfulness skills you will learn to explore physical sensations, soften body and mind, and gain a deeper appreciation of the knowledge that our body and mind offers.

We will begin with movement to warm up the body then move into a body scan practice to identify sensations.  With awareness and creative visualization, we will transfer this inner knowing through artistic expression giving meaning to our experience.  We will explore this newly identified knowledge to help us transform daily challenges, enhance positive qualities within ourselves and transform inner conflict.
We will complete the workshop with a restorative savasana practice.

Kinga Zak is a certified Transformative Mindfulness Practitioner based in the teachings of Transformative Mindfulness and Dekyi-Lee Oldershaw.
Mindful Movement

Gentle mindful yoga is a calming practice designed to activate the parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system while creating a deep awareness of the mind-body-breath connection, cultivating greater feelings of self-acceptance and self-appreciation.

In this practice, we will move the body through a series of soft, fluid movements, focusing our attention on noticing and feeling sensations in the body, without judgment or expectation. Using breathe as an anchor, participants are in full control of their experience in the present moment. A short relaxation practice will end this class.

Step into your practice, nourish your mind and body and fill your heart with peace.

I started my yoga journey 23 years ago and continued on to become a yoga instructor. Following two car accidents, several health related struggles and a diagnosis of C-PTSD, I have found tremendous healing through gentle yoga, mindfulness and meditation practice. In my classes, I focus on mindfully connecting body, mind and breath, particularly sensitive to those with mobility issues and those who suffer with PTSD.

As a life long learner, I have attended many courses in CBT, CPT, DBT skills, Reiki and Reflexology. In my previous career, I was a high school teacher specializing in teaching children with special needs. My approach is gentle, calming and I use loving, compassionate practice to help those working through difficulty. My winsome personality and wit will have you laughing, and my soothing energy will have you leaving my classes rested and relaxed. Be prepared to bliss out.
