Creative visualization? Or what it would feel like to tap into your own deep knowing, transforming thoughts, feelings and sensations into a healthier way of being? Has being stuck in thoughts, decisions or beliefs about yourself created enormous suffering for you?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, our “Movement meets Transformative Mindfulness” event is for you.
In this 2 hour workshop, we will delve into mindfulness based practice which has been proven to reduce stress, assist with pain management, improve focus and concentration, and increase emotional tolerance. Using transformative mindfulness skills you will learn to explore physical sensations, soften body and mind, and gain a deeper appreciation of the knowledge that our body and mind offers.
We will begin with movement to warm up the body then move into a body scan practice to identify sensations. With awareness and creative visualization, we will transfer this inner knowing through artistic expression giving meaning to our experience. We will explore this newly identified knowledge to help us transform daily challenges, enhance positive qualities within ourselves and transform inner conflict.
We will complete the workshop with a restorative savasana practice.
Kinga Zak is a certified Transformative Mindfulness Practitioner based in the teachings of Transformative Mindfulness and Dekyi-Lee Oldershaw.
Gentle mindful yoga is a calming practice designed to activate the parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system while creating a deep awareness of the mind-body-breath connection, cultivating greater feelings of self-acceptance and self-appreciation.
In this practice, we will move the body through a series of soft, fluid movements, focusing our attention on noticing and feeling sensations in the body, without judgment or expectation. Using breathe as an anchor, participants are in full control of their experience in the present moment. A short relaxation practice will end this class.
